Fernandina Beach is located on Amelia Island, the northern most Atlantic Coast barrier island in Florida. Major airlines serve Jacksonville International Airport which is 30 minutes from The Fairbanks House. Private aircraft may use the facilities at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport. Transportation from either airport can be arranged.

If travelling by automobile, use Exit 373 (Old Exit 129) from Interstate 95 and follow the signs for Fernandina Beach along Highway A1A, 200 East. After the bridge go 3.3 mile to Cedar Street. Turn left onto Cedar Street. Go one block and turn right onto 7th Street. Fairbanks House is located at 227 South Seventh Street.
