Join in the fun and rub elbows with the artists on this monthly First Friday Gallery Walk featuring entertainment, refreshments, inspiration and opportunity. Our "artsy" community gets to shine and show off for you. Galleries all over the historic district are featured.

 

First Weekend Union Garrisons

June 4-5, 2005

Volunteers join park rangers to recreate life in Fort Clinch during the War Between the States. These Living Historians take up duty in the infirmary, blacksmith shop, jail, laundry and kitchen. The activities may include black powder artillery demonstrations, marching drills and blacksmith demonstrations. Experience the Civil War as the first person interpreters share the history of the era. All garrison and encampment activities take place on designated dates, Saturday at 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Sunday 9:00AM-12:00 PM. Candlelight viewing times vary with sundown.

 

Boardwalk Bash!

June 10, 2005

Kingfish Tournament

June 23- 26, 2005

Held in Fernandina Beach, this has become the third largest event on the Southern Kingfish Association tournament trail drawing in many participants and spectators. Major cash awards are given to the top angler, lady angler, and youth angler. This four-day event includes a fish fry community dinner, music, festivities, and fishing fun. This signature holiday event features a self-guided tour of Amelia Island's Bed & Breakfast Inns. Uniquely themed and dressed for the season, the inns feature special holiday music and refreshments.
